It is not winning, but taking part, which matters. How acceptable is this as an approach to life?
There is no winning without participation. But if you participate without intending to win, what are you even participating for? Continue reading

About Me
Welcome to the GP Rebel! Some might even call me a GP Heretic!
I love to write, but I haven’t done much writing since, you know, work!
So, I’m embarking on a little disciplined exercise of using GCE ‘A’ Level General Paper (GP) essay questions as a stimulus for starting to write all over again.
These are NOT GP essays that your tutors will approve of, but they will still (try to) follow the rules of word count (500-800 words), and a 90-minute time limit.
Nevertheless, if you are interested, or even curious, I’ll make my thought process transparent via a Google Doc link, so you can see my annotations. Maybe you’ll glean something about argumentative writing, even if it’s not up to code.
BTW, these essays are publicly uploaded, so please don’t take credit by passing them off as your own – you will be easily found out by your tutor if you do!
And I’m not in the business of giving tuition, so everything here is free to read.
I’ll start off with the ‘A’ Level GP essay questions of 2021, and then maybe work my way backwards. I’ll also take question requests, after all, non-Cambridge papers can also be fun to work with!
Anyway, do enjoy!
